Meet Mr. Magole
Innocent Lefatshe Magole has twenty-six (26) years’ experience working within the environmental arena. In the last nineteen years, he has been working in the Okavango River Basin and on what can be considered signature environment projects in the River Basin. Firstly, between 2008 and 2010, He worked as Deputy National Project Coordinator for the GEF funded BIOKAVANGO Project, whose primary goal was mainstreaming biodiversity conservation in the production sectors of the Okavango Delta. He also worked as Livelihoods Coordinator for the USAID funded Southern Africa Regional Environmental Program that focused on the conservation and sustainable utilization of the Cubango-Okavango River Basin (Angola, Botswana and Namibia).
Furthermore, he served as the local consultant in the preparation of the Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA TFCA) Integrated Development Plan (IDP) for the Botswana component, which was prepared together with a team from Peace Parks Foundation in South Africa.
